Cambridge B2 Digital

Last week, on March 22,2025, we completed our Cambridge B2 digital exam.
The Cambridge B2 First is an internationally recognized English language qualification at the upper-intermediate (B2) level. It examines the four key skills—reading, writing, listening, and speaking and certifies that a candidate can communicate effectively in an English-speaking environment. This certificate is widely accepted by universities, employers, and institutions worldwide as evidence of your advanced English level. Achieving a B2 First certificate demonstrates that you can handle academic and workplace communications with confidence, making it a valuable step for education, work, and travel opportunities.
Before taking our oral exam on March 14 and our computer-based written exam on March 22, we met for a lesson once a week every Friday to prepare for the digital ad oral exams. In these lessons, we completed exam simulations including all four key skills. This seven-month-long preparation turned out to be very crucial when it came to our exams. All of us felt confident in completing the given tasks, and we were quite lucky to have had kind examiners in our oral exam, who made the whole situation less stressful.
The main difference between the B1 certificate that most of us had completed in the past two years, was that this time, our written exam was completed digitally. We were the first school in NRW to do so, and we‘d definitely prefer taking it this way again. With the help of Mr Reschke, one of our computer science teachers, everything went smoothly, and there were no technical issues.
We are very glad to have taken part in Cambridge B2 Digital for Schools, as not only the exam but also the preparation itself was beneficial. The skills we learned and the exam format has helped us in other exams, particularly with our ZP10 preparation.
We‘d recommend making use of this great opportunity offered by our school, and we want to thank Mrs.Ortmayr for her effort and support.
